Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of   CTREX Analyst located in Makati City, Philippines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive for results and take ownership of performance in accordance with the Chevron Way, the We Lead concept, and the FSS vision for process leadership and fiduciary oversight.
  • Understand and enforce the Travel Policy 585 and PCard guideline which govern the use of the Corporate Card and and employee reimbursements, comprehend other relevant policies and local practices,   know the CTREX & Pcard process workflow and recognize the rationale of each procedures, risks and applicable controls.
  • Deliver SLA commitments based on expertise not on routines.   The SLA commitments are as follows:
    • Resolve fallouts from data interface between CTREX/Ariba and ERP systems in order to successfully process the payments to bank and employees.
    • Post the approved manual expense reports before the payment cut-off.
    • Perform Accounts Reconciliation for assigned GL Accounts in accordance with FSS Accounts Reconciliation Standard, understand the 7 criteria for a reconciled account and ensure that all of them will be met for all accounts owned.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to users on system navigation, transaction processing and reporting, and interpreting Chevrons Travel policy and Purchasing card guidelines.
    • Perform prepay and/or post-pay audit on selected TEA reports.
    • Administer   granting, revocation, and review of TEA/Pcard approver authority.
    • Administer card enrollment, cancellation and reinstatement, change of card limit, and maintenance of cardholder information in systems being used.
    • Deploy and monitor TEA and Pcard compliance quiz as required.
    • Assist Global Security, Internal Audit, Tax and business unit representatives in reviews and investigations.
    • Perform other functions and achieve commitments listed in Accounts Payable SBE.
  • Sustain strong internal control and ensure compliance with and performance of SOX controls related to the process.
  • Perform backup role as needed to ensure business continuity and the deliverables of the team are always met.
  • Initiate and implement process improvements to sustain/increase quality of work, realize efficiencies and/or make the processes more effective.
  • Prepare and summarize the monthly operational statistics report to monitor compliance to Service Level Agreements and to evaluate team performance.
  • Ensure all records and supporting documents relating to above are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and corporate record retention policies.
  • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.   Complete special projects as assigned by the Team Leader and assist team members as required to provide quality accounting service to business partners.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Uses clear and concise oral   / written communication skills - develops and utilizes network, facilitates and coordinates communications with various contacts and takes a consultative position to fulfill control duties
  • Able to gather and interpret diverse source documents to ensure proper accounting of more complex transactions
  • Strong analytical skills - uses awareness of expected results in the preparation and review of entries, statements, or reports; identifies, analyzes, and resolves routine variances and discrepancies
  • Strong technical knowledge - utilizes advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of PC application and tools to be able to efficiently process, manage, and present data; uutilizes systems knowledge to be able to eliminate unnecessary complexities in own desk
  • Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment
  • Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
