Pay rate & Hours



* £17.43 PER HOUR

Dependent on experience



* Shift Premium of 35%
* 4 on, 4 off rotation of days and nights

* 07:00AM - 19:00PM
* 19:00PM - 07:00AM

* Includes weekends

The site generally closes down over the holiday season in December

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Engineer in the Engineering department you will be responsible for the following duties:

Liaise with manufacturing to schedule downtime for planned maintenance activities



* Liaise with manufacturing to schedule downtime for planned maintenance activities
* Diagnose and repair Electrical, Mechanical, Vision and PLC faults
* Carry out pre-defined regular maintenance checks
* Assess and escalate equipment breakdowns as required
* Have a detailed understanding of all equipment issues through review of EWRs and Shift handover reports
* Provide clear and concise communication regarding equipment performance and outstanding issues daily
* Timely and compliant EWR and Preventative Maintenance documentation
* Identify and support delivery of CIP projects through maintenance team
* Utilise data to drive correct decisions relating to equipment performance and yield
* Provide coaching and mentoring to Engineering Apprentices as well as Operations Technicians in support of OAC
* Adapt and improve preventative maintenance procedures as required

Requirements:



* Apprenticeship served with ONC/HNC in Engineering or HND or a relevant engineering discipline
* Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic system knowledge
* Knowledge of PLC/ microprocessor or computer-controlled production equipment
* Comprehend electrical and pneumatic schematics
* Experience with low and extra low voltage supplies
* Previous experience in performing planned and unplanned maintenance
* Demonstration of sound methodology in fault finding techniques
* Ability to follow health and safety processes inclusive of manual handling, PPE, general hygiene
* Good written and spoken English and basic numeracy skills
* An awareness of GMP (good manufacturing practice) is desired
* Candidates having worked in a pharmaceutical or quality environment before would be preferred.

This is a 3 months assignment with a possibility of extension to 12 months depending on business needs.
