The purpose of this role is to:

  • Assist in the implementation of marketing, offer development and communications programmes for the business and, specifically, using basic marketing knowledge and experience, to support the development, management and delivery of strategic programmes for the PU Marketing Team in coordination with the Global Sales & Marketing Team.
  • Prepare and provide marketing and communication material for the PU.
  • Support administrative effort in Marketing and BD execution such as; budget management, advertising schedules, brand collateral and reporting requirements.
  • Provide insights into process improvement.
  • Work with the PU General Aviation team to prioritize conflicting activities guided by the PU Marketing and GA strategy.
  • Support market intelligence gathering and collation.
  • Work in a federal and collegiate manner with other functional leaders to deliver Air BPs strategy as well as demonstrating integrated behaviours when working with the Central Air BP teams.
  • In the spirit of challenging existing paradigms and embracing the forward agenda, work with the PU and the central commercial team to develop innovative solutions to marketing and BD implementation.
  • Apply marketing experience and capability in the implementation and development of the marketing programme in support of the PU GA agenda.
  • Assess and review marketing activities in their impact and value vs. costs and complexity of implementation
  • Be an active member of the GA global network, contributing to global best practice and supporting the development of marketing and BD implementation activities and material.

Job profile summary:

This role reports to the Marketing and Business Development (BD) Manager and supports the implementation of Marketing and BD initiatives in the NCWE PU (Northern Central Western Europe Performance Unit). The role liaises closely with the Global General Aviation (GA) Sales & Marketing team and with the PU General Aviation Sales team in driving effective and efficient implementation of Marketing and BD activities. The role also advises the Marketing and BD Manager on implementation impacts from bespoke Performance Unit marketing and Business Development activities with a bias towards effective and cost-efficient implementation.

  • Gathers and acts on consumer/customer insights and brings the voice of consumers and customers to the leadership table, ensuring appropriate focus on delivery of the marketing strategy.
  • Builds and develops a strong global marketing network within the business and represents the business at global and/or external forums.
  • Provides significant input on Management Information and performance management and recommends resource allocation, whilst providing effective leadership, direction, coaching and development to Marketing teams and managing a large team of direct reports.
