About this role

Reporting to the Director of Operational Procurement, you will be the leader of compliance with DNA Procurement Policy and Procedures. You will be part of a dynamic team who manages the manage business processes related to procurement of goods and services on behalf of the company. Other duties will include:

  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values;
  • Drive customer satisfaction through consistent delivery execution, ensuring a cross-functional approach that engages all stakeholders within the DNA Value Chain;
  • Manage processes to ensure timely delivery of all products and services to meet operational requirements;
  • Actively participate as a team member with other DNA departments in their efforts to analyze the requirements of the company relative to materials, services, projects or other classification of goods;
  • Ensure compliance to the Companys Proprietary Information processes with regards to vendor Non-Disclosure Agreements and technical data transmittals of a drawing / specification. Including enforcement by other departments;
  • Develop strong, customer focused relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Develop Purchasing Strategies, in line with key Stakeholder requirements to deliver cost savings, surety of supply and quality;
  • Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones;
  • Continually improve cost position by looking at price, specifications and demand, while maintaining quality and safety standards;
  • Manage Contract Lifecycle;
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance to established KPIs;
  • Manage compliance and governance processes in Procurement in line with internal and external requirements;
  • Act as change agent on behalf of Procurement to implement solutions and processes as developed by the centralized procurement group;
  • Other Duties as assigned in accordance with areas of responsibility;
  • Performance Management, Succession Planning, Hire and Fire;
  • Executing Strategic Sourcing strategies;
  • Accountability and authority to Contract with Suppliers and Vendors in compliance with DNA DOA and where necessary implement solutions to performance issues;
  • Successfully balancing the day-to-day tactical execution of purchase orders, contract negotiations, and achieving all the other department and site level objectives;
  • Coordinating information and requirements between multiple areas of responsibility and priorities;
  • Ensuring continuity of supply and service.


About you

  • Bachelors Degree mandatory. CPSM recommended;
  • Minimum 5 years business experience in related industry in a Supply Chain / Procurement environment with progressively increasing responsibility;
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office and SAP;
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach that has strong planning and organizational skills;
  • Ability to gather, manipulate and analyze data to make data driven decisions that yield the best possible business outcome;
  • Ability to plan and lead negotiations with internal cross functional teams and external service providers;
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Supplier Relationship management;
  • Understanding of procurement policies and contractual implications;
  • Ability to interact and lead discussions with business leaders;
  • Ability to prepare and present executive level, informational presentations in order to facilitate decision making.
