Drilling & Workover Superintendent in Tunisia

For an Oil&Gas Project in Eastern offshore Tunisia, we are looking for Drilling & Workover Superintendant

You will be in charge of the following tasks:

Logistic and Preparation for Workover

  • Ensure all documentation for Workover are issued and approved.
  • Schedule necessary inspections, authorization is issued on time (mainly for Helicopter, vessels and rig…etc)
  • Ensure emergency response system is developed and approved.
  • Ensure all material and goods necessary for the permanent P&A are inspected and delivered to COMPANY yard in Sousse (local and imported material).
  • Prepares and reviews rig specifications to ensure compliance to all guidelines and procedures as well as making sure newly contracted rig are capable of performing the specified work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate and follow up rig surveys (during condition and follow up surveys) and ensure all outstanding point are closed prior mobilization.
  • Schedule and coordinate all resources.
  • Conduct a Prespud meeting and ensure that the rig and all other aspects are ready for the workover (Rig, personnel, Material and tools, services, programs and procedures).

Operational phase: Workover operation

  • Superintendent is accountable for planning and executing all aspects of the P&A program, the health and safety of all operational personnel, and protects the environment.
  • Manage daily activities of workover operations in accordance with Company management procedures and Tunisian Legislation.
  • Ensures that the operations team provides the best performance, in a cost effective, secure, and safe manner.
  • Ensure the timely and proper execution of the P&A program by the supervisors. Support and logistic operations are executed in time (personnel, services and material).
  • Manage cost control within limits of authority.
  • Liaise and communicate with the rig, management, engineering, internal clients, and the different service companies. Coordinates with Drilling Engineering and Drilling manager.
  • Provide clear reporting on an as-required of day to day activities and any other events in the rig to the Management in town (mainly Lookahead and daily instruction sheet)
  • Supervise special and Critical operations (Rig acceptance, well control, tie back of casing, plug placement...), and will be responsible for conduct of any unplanned event in the rig (Fishing, well control situation, Circulation losses…)
  • Identify solutions for unscheduled problems at the rig with the collaboration of the Drilling Supervisors and engineers. Take managed risks or provide information to drilling manager to take managed risk.
  • Responsible for safe operations in an environment including H2S and CO2 in the reservoir.
  • Conduct a performance assessment of work performed by the drilling contractor and third-party service contractors.
  • Ensure HSE Emergency Response Systems is developed, documented, tested with simulation exercises and the Drilling Team is capable of responding to HSE emergencies.
  • Prepare and issue Plug & Abandonment report, and lessons learned, identify rooms of improvement.
  • Ensure all COMPANY material and tools remained are identified, documented and sent to logistic staging base.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree from a recognized school or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Offshore certification valid for the last two years (IWCF, T-Bosiet, H2S, medical)
  • At least 12 Years’ Experience as drilling & WO supervisor (on jack ups)
  • At least 04 Years’ Experience as drilling & WO superintendent (on jack up)
  • Experience in well re-entry using Mud-line system tie-back (min 2 projects)
  • Experience in offshore wells abandonment and decommissioning (min 3 projects).
  • Business assignment experience in similar project.
  • Strong engineering & software background.
  • Experience in wells with H2S and CO2 presence
  • Recent exposure to similar working area (N. sea or Mediterranean offshore)
  • International experience in a multi-cultural environment would prove beneficial.

Location: Tunisia – Mahdia (OFFSHORE)

Duration: Minimum 5 months
